Some of you will know that I have become evangelical about hearing aids since I took the plunge and got a pair at the end of last year. My life has been transformed by them: I knew that I was not hearing very well but I had no idea just how many high-frequency sounds I was missing. I am still being surprised not just by how many things I can hear but also by what familiar things sound like. I have spent the past months boring people with news of things that, presumably, they have been hearing all the time.

I am starting to calm down a bit now as I get used to my new superpower; I don’t think that I am bothering people with my news quite so much. However, each night I take them out and get reminded of what a difference they make to my life. So I’m ready to tell my story to anyone who wants to know.

Now, about this life-transforming Jesus…
